What can you light a candle for?
At the Altar of Light you can light a candle for healing and strength, family, inner peace, love and reconciliation, protection, gratitude, hope, or in memory of someone.
You do not need to explain your intention to anyone. Choose it at the altar, hold it quietly in mind, and click a candle. The flame joins the other lights and a prayer related to your intention appears below.
How does the virtual altar work?
Enter the altar, choose a candle, and keep your intention in mind for a few moments. When you feel ready, click the candle. It remains lit in your browser alongside the other lights, and the altar displays a prayer connected with the intention you chose.
There is no account to create, no long form to complete, and no payment required. The Altar of Light is designed as a simple digital place for reflection, inspired by the traditional act of lighting a candle.

You may light a candle for a loved one, for someone going through a difficult time, for healing, for your family, or in remembrance of someone who remains close to your heart. The intention is yours; the altar simply gives it a visible form through light.

No, not in this version. The candles you light are stored locally in your browser and your intention is not published.
